OutGrown is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping families grow outside together.
Every family deserves access to nature from the beginning of life. Our mission is to make the outdoors feel welcoming, doable, and joyful for parents and caregivers with young children.
A small grassroots hiking group founded as Hike it Baby has become a national movement reaching hundreds of thousands of families. Since becoming an independent nonprofit in 2016, we’ve expanded our work to include community-led outings, inclusive programming, and family-centered tools that support outdoor connection from birth to age five and beyond.
We are committed to building a world where outdoor spaces are accessible and deeply rooted in care, connection, and belonging.
